media object security

[cool] Hi.

How can I disable a group of web users from editting media attachments ? They still need to be able to view them.

I tried setting up row security
F00165 field OBNM from GT0000 to GT9999
View=Y Add=N Change=N Delete=N

But this didn't work.

You can secure this through NT security. Create an NT group for the users who shouldn't be able to edit the media object and apply NTFS security of Read Only for that group on your Media Object directory (JDE default is \\DS(name)\B7333\MEDIAOBJ\OLEQUE, you may have changed it in your environment).
