unable to connect

Well Known Member
All of a sudden, I cannot connect from the deployment server to any
environment other than JDEPLAN. Therefore, I cannot install any ESU's. I
am getting a message UNABLE TO CONNECT TO SYSTEM B7333, then I get the
Database box and it says Could not load environment DEP7333. I have logged
a ticket with JDE, but no results yet. I thought I would ask the
sharpshooters!

check to make sure your security server is set correctly.
check to make sure your main user id is enabled.
 
Is the security server section of the jde.ini on the deployment server enabled?

If no, then the user you are using to sign onto oneworld must be a user on the database as well (where the system ds is located).
 
...in addition, if the security server is off and your user id is valid on oneworld and the underlying database, remember the passwords must be identical on both.

Did you recently change your password in oneworld or on the database?
 
One more thing to check... make sure that your AS/400 JDE profile is *ENABLED. That caught me one time when I was testing a change that accessed the AS/400 profile incorrectly more than 3 times. That ended up disabling the JDE profile on the AS/400.
