We are actually using OW B733.2 SP17.1 on Intel/NT4 (Both Entreprise Server and Deployment Server).
We want to do an upgrade to ERP 8.
But my wish is to be on :
Windows 2000 & SQL 2000 on the same servers (they are enough powerful).
What is the best path to follow to be on such target: Win2000+SQL2000+ERP8 (and on the same machines)

Thanks for the advises

Maher :

I would do the following path :

a) Migrate to SQL2000. Migration from SQL7 is very smooth, much easier
and safer than the SQL6.5 to SQL7 path. Be sure to use SQL2000 SP2 and
don't forget that it requires B7331 SP 19.1 and MDAC 2.6 SP2. Check it
on KG before starting this upgrade. SQL2000 backup runs faster than on
SQL7 and it will save your time for the next upgrade steps (NT and JDE).
b) Upgrade/Migrate to W2000. You may either upgrade or migrate.
I prefer the hard way : backup the server, format it with W2000 and
reinstall. W2000 has some cool advantages over NT4 such as System State
Backup, and supports more RAM and processors than NT4.
c) Upgrade to ERP8.
