MQSeries

List, I did a search and was only able to find one "technical" post. Not being at all familiar with WCS and MQSeries and the like, the developers here have asked me to post this question. What would be the alternatives (or best method) to transform data from a DB2/UDB database (RS/6000..AIX..) using OneWorld to an Oracle database (RS/6000..AIX..) being used as a Web based storefront? If your not familiar with DB2/UDB on AIX, please use Oracle just as an example.

Thank-You,

Michael

Micheal,
to tranfer OW tables from One Datasource to another between different
platforms I would always use R98403. Although the performance is pour, it
takes care of all the technical differences (data formats, indexes, etc)
between the databases. If it´s individual tables use the OWM table copy
feature.
Hope this helped, Gerd

Thank-You Gerd but I'm just looking (wanting) a few fields in a few tables
only when the data (i.e.. pricing information) has changed. Not knowing
much about MQSeries (The web developers here know it well) I believe is
constantly sending messages to "OneWorld" (which is using the JDEdwards
OneWorld MQSeries adapter) and when the pricing data has changed the Oracle
tables are automatically updated with the price changes so the Web based
Storefront application has the new pricing information.

Thank-You.

Michael
