Address Book

Hi Jdelist,
I have a slight problem with setting up my address book with
all different versions .All versions are related to the P01012 which
is ok but however I can set one user up with a version say RIL013
and security is set to do everything except delete , this is grayed out .
When I add another version RIL099 to his set of menus it is in view
but can not get in . Security is only set for P01012 which relates to
the address book version set already .

Q Can you have mutiple versions of the address book ?
Q How can we view them seperately and set the security?
Q How can we exclude searching all other versions for user who has
access to V only ? Set Row Security from value to V and thru value to V
Do I have to set two more in Row Security A to U as NO and W to Z
as N aswell for this effect ? I will try this anyway .

What we have is everyone using the same address book version RIL0001
, I can change this in Menus for a different version which
is ok but then users will need to use two versions . Anyone know a
method ? Someone mentioned Solutions Explorer and will be
a massive job to complete .

See attached this might help you what I am trying to gain.

Regarding security you will have to set up A-U nothing allowed, V-V allow what is needed, W-Z nothing allowed.

Nevertheless be aware of the fact that a supplier also can be a customer so you have to decide wether he can view them also or not.

Concerning Solution Explorer - we use it and it helps a lot to facilitate security because a lot of things are solved using menu security. I'm sorry that I can't help you in estimating the effort to switch. When we started with OneWorld our consultants said the OneWorld Explorer would disappear in the future.
