chart of accounts change

Hi List
Please help. we have our chart of account as business unit.Object.Sub.(00000.11000.12000) the management wants to change the Segments as well as the pattern like this BU.Obj (0000.1100) can I do this. We are using JDE for 5 years is it possible to do this, also is this change is custormizing JDE.

Yes. You can have a blank Subsidiary account which would look like:

00001.1000

No, this would not be considered a custom mod. Caution, changing chart of accounts can get a little sticky. Might want to consult with someone who has experience with this.
