Hi
From time to time, a user phone up complaining that a version that recently
run has disappeared and they get the message "Version not installed" on
client. It used to happen after installing other versions on Citrix servers
but has now started on Thick Clients.
Any clues ?
Regards
Robert

I have seen this especially after full packages are deployed. Usually it's
because a version was created in an environment and not checked in properly.
So when the full package is done it is overwritten. Do you create versions
through OMW? thanks, Bobby

Are u shure someone is not deleting those versions in BV. If you delete a version in BV it should also delete the version from DEV also. I know when you create a version in PROD and check it in it checks it in in DEV also I think the delete works the same way. Also are you deploying the versions to the fat clients or are you letting the new versions JITI down. I have seen this happens when the version are JITI because if a change is made then version does not RE-JITI, JITI only happens once.

What does you JDE log say is happening.

Does sound more like that the version was not checked in from an TS or Fat client. After installing a new full pack on it it is simply gone leave an entry in the system without specs.

If, after a change, the 'newer' version doesn;t jiti it then either the version doesn't exsist anymore OR you will run the older version of it.

Most probable cause here sounds like the version has never been checked in as Ame already said
