Could someone please tell me if their ERP 8 install seems to be missing OCM mappings for Central Objects? On my install, there's no mapping for F98710, F98711, and a whole bunch more. We are running Win2k, SQL2k, ERP 8, SP20, and Planner ESU JE1426. Thanks.

Missing OCM records for Central Objects spec tables would not surprise
me. They have been "missing" ever since B732 through Xe.
Is ERP8 that much different from Xe ??
Do you get any errors accusing these missing OCMs? They shouldn´t be
necessary.
Thanks, Gerd

NJ,

OCM mappings for the Central Objects Database have never been included for
any OW install. Oneworld get the file location from the PathCode. If you
need to run a job that reads the Central Objects DB, such as R98CRTGL, you
must add the OCM records manually.

Hi,

There is never OCM for Central Object since it uses the Path Code to determine the locate of the spec.

Andy,
I just ran R98CRTGL after making sure that there are no active mappings
for any F987* tables in my environment.
It ran just fine. Could you please explain your point some more !?

Gerd,

If/when you get a chance, try to run R98crtgl on an AS/400 with out these
mappings, and it won't work. My first install was on an AS/400 and I have
been creating the mappings ever since (once bitten...)

Me too on the R98CRTGL on AS400s.

There used to be a problem with Vocabulary Overrides, but I've just tested it on SP17.1 and it seems to be OK now.
