Xe & Oracle 9i

We are looking at migrating our Oracle database on HP-UX from 8.1.6 to 9i. We also plan to install SP20. Who out there has done this migration? I'm looking for any feedback on going to 9i.

One quick point, you say you are on HPUX 11. Is that 11i or just 11.

9i only runs on 64 bit unix which can be 11 or 11i. However 11 can also be installed as 32 bit.

One further point JDE (accordiing to my discussions with them) have only certified Oracle 9i with HPUX 11i

Our current box is HP-UX 11 32-bit. We are upgrading to a new box which will have HP-UX 11 64-bit. According to JDE HelpLine they support 9i Release 1 (9.0.1) on both HP-UX 11 and HP-UX 11i. I also found out that I will need to change the dll name to libora90.sl for the oracle data sources in OW.
