Survey - Citrix strategies

Dear Listers:

Among those of you supporting Citrix clients, could you please share the
following?

Number of Citrix users per Citrix server
Profile management: single Citrix server login for all users, individual
accounts with profiles stored locally, or individual accounts with roaming
profiles
Dedicated JDE Citrix servers or shared with other apps
Full desktop or published app
Experience that led you to make a change to any of these from an earlier
configuration (e.g. local profiles taking up too much disk so we went to
roaming profiles)
Policy regarding use of fat or thin clients

response:

1) avg 20 users/ machine
2) individual account with profiles stored locally
3) dedicated machines
4) published apps
5) setup this way - no prior experience with citrix
6) there needs to be a business critical issue to allow for fat clients outside of the developers.

These are my values :

25-30 users per Citrix.
Individual accounts with profiles stored locally in the Citrix boxes.
Dedicated Citrix Servers.
Full desktop.
Citrix Login times were too slow (up to 5 min!) using roaming profiles.
Only developers use fat clients.

We have a 7 Server Citrix Farm, with one Server doing load balancing. The
other six are dedicated to running only JDE. Each Server has 2 gig of ram
and a 4 gig page file

We have 186 Citrix Users and setup our Servers to support 31 Citrix Users,
running in the WPD environment per server. If you let your Citrix Users use
the PD environment, you will need to plan for much fewer users per server.

On average we have about 15 users per server. We use roaming profile.

Our farm is running wonderfully and our users love it.

Oh yea - only Developers and Payroll have fat clients.

Response:

20-25 Users per server
Roming Profiles
JDE, MS Excel and Unitime
Published Apps
Original Configuration - Used roming profiles in the past with seamless desktop (Since it's only one App Published works best)
Business decision eg. Customer Service uses Fat because of SO App.
