OW Scheduler \"dying\" on NT App Server

JDE List,

Has anyone experienced the OW Scheduler just randomly "dying" when running
on an NT Application Server?

B7333 Xe SP 19 Update 6
ES AS/400

Re: OW Scheduler

Yessir James, all the time. We had to turn the scheduler off, bounce services on the scheduler server, and turn scheduler on to get it back running again. We gave up on it.

We have moved to the 2000 Task scheduler until we can review scheduling software. We are running ROBOT on the 400. We know there are better ways to go on App server scheduling, just haven't had the time to review all our options.

I'll tell ya one thing though, we haven't had a single issue with the W2K task scheduler vs. the JDE scheduler. May not be enterprise, but it works. ;-)

Re: OW Scheduler \"dying\" on NT App Server

I believe that this document addresses your issue (document OTI-02-0038 on KG). It is fixed in SP 19.1. If you are deploying server packages, then you get this issue unless you stop and restart services afterwards. With this fix, you don't have to worry about it. If you had terminal server or HTML users using a "J" or "W" environment, then they would have had major issues to.
