XE Update 6 vs ERP 8.0

We are currently in the process of migrating from World to OneWorld on NT. OneWorld XE at Upate 4 with SP20 is installed and working well. We are trying to decide whether to upgrade to ERP 8.0 vs Update 6 prior to beginning of implementation effort. We will do one of these since it will be much simpler than trying to upgrade after we have acquired significant "baggage" that comes during the development process. Anyone have experience or opinions on this issue?

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,

If you are CO-existence with World, you have no choice but to stay with XE. ERP 8.0 does not support co-existemce unless you use XPI.

Adrian,

We are not co-existent with World. This is a direct migration from World to OneWorld.

Thanks,
Dan

Right now there is only limited availability for World upgrades to ERP 8.0.
G/A is scheduled for sometime in the fourth quarter.

Have you checked out the ERP8 FAQ on the JDE KG? I enclose.

Thanks, that document is very helpful. I guess our primary concern is that we don't induce any problems by installing code that hasn't been tested sufficiently.

Appreciate the reply,
Dan

In that case Dan I suggest you don't migrate to OneWorld ;)
