Good for you, but this doesn't answer Paul's question: <<Anybody know what a customer can do to obtain a copy of the current Demo Jnr SPC code generator???? >>
Software Protection Code Generator = (a nice piece of) software that you run (when your SPC expired) in order to get a NEW SPC, WITHOUT CALLING SUPPORT.
The generator used to reside on KG, available for all (Customers, Business Partners, and JDE consultants).
Currently it seems to be available for everybody BUT the Customers.
Why? Some people say that all that is good is either scarce, makes you fat, or prohibited. I think that this is a sign: JDE forgot the Customer is always right!
Warm regards,
Adrian Chimirel

Adrian,

JDE removed the access to all companies, partners and
partner consultants. I would venture that even the
internal JDE staff does not have access to the
generator. JDE would have to respond to that. No one
is being excluded here. Contract issues were the
driver and this was their solution. If you would like
to have it reinstated, take you case to JDE directly.

And good luck!!

It is still possible for partners and JDE employees to sign onto the KG and
obtain an SPC code for Demo junior. The code is only valid for 3 months and
after that you have to sign on to KG again and re obtain SPC.

Sure Mike,

Here is the path after signing into KG with BP access:

1) Support
2) Product -> Oneworld -> Oneworld
3) Support -> SPC Codes -> SPC Code application

This will then give you the option to dowload an SPC code for demo junior.

Peter,
This option was removed for service partners over two
years ago. If you have different information, please
forward the page/url to access the feature.

Elway,

Should I understand that you have a nice technique that you should share with us ? I know there was one way to do it in the pre-Xe release but is there a new one ?

Christian

Christian (and fellow JDEers),

This works for my Xe SP 15.1 - in JDE.INI add this line under [DB SYSTEM SETTINGS]

BDSEC=ROBIN

Now I have to kill you all ! ;>)

Elway,

Thank you very much ! I've just tried it ! work fine on ERP8 SP18.1

I was wondering what was the replacement for "POOH" setting (I'm sure you knew this one also)
