SQL7022 when using Vertex

We are bringing up a second AS/400 for Development/Test. All appears to
be going well except for the connection to Vertex. We are using Vertex to
do our North American taxing.

We have set up the P7306 screen to have the proper machine, Vertex user,
and password.
We have also mapped the BSFN's used by vertex to run on the new AS/400.

When we try to perform P73GEO the Call Object kernel is getting an SQL7022
message. The text of this message is 'User VERTEX not the same as current
user ONEWORLD.'.

We are at a loss as this statement is

OW 7333 SP 19.1, WIN2K, TSE 2000, Metrframe XP FR 1, CO SQL 7.0

Hi Tom,

When I saw this message earlier today it meant that it needed me to input
the user id and password of the ID I was signed onto for the entries on the
screen. I was trying to key in a generic user id and it wanted mine. So I
then signed in as the generic user id and completed installing Vertex. So
in a program, usually this means you do not have the same user id in the
screen as the user id that it had when you set it up... it's a fussy app.
You can set this up with a blank user id and blank password and then use any
user id you want in the setup screens.... as long as the user has full
authority to the vertex libraries, etc.

I hope this helps in some way...

Good luck!!

:)

we found the problem when we went to V5R1M0 on the AS/400.

What we did was not put in the id and password in F7308 except for payroll which requires the id and password (don't ask me why).

This solved the problem for us, we do get connection warnings but vertex does work.
