PAKTOTAM

Hello List,

we have a strange problem here in Austria. We built a server package, which didn´t show any problems on our deployment-server. The transfer of the packed tam-files via PAKTOTAM did run for nearly 30minutes. The BUSBUILD on the ES seems to be o.k, but the unpack of the packed tam-files runs nearly 35-40hours.
There is no virus-scan programm on the servers!
The configuration:
DS: W2K, 1GB RAM;
ES: W2K, 2*1GHz, 2GB RAM
Xe, Update3, SP20_C1, Oracle 8.1.7

There was at problem at SP17.0 when the PAKTOTAM completed but did not send
a message back to the Deployment Server or where the Package Build was being
run. the PAKTOTAM job would sit there for ever. The solution was to end the
PAKTOTAM. Although the report stated that there was an error the build
finished Sucessfully and could be deployed.
