POLL : Web versus Citrix - part 2 !

Exactly a year ago I asked the question concerning who used Citrix versus who used HTML.

The answers last year provided provocative discussions and certainly provided information on what direction the customers (and Technical Specialists out there) felt JD Edwards should be supporting.

So - heres the question once again, refined for the latest releases ! Remember, a free copy of VNC to those who answer !!!!

1. Are you using Citrix in a LIVE environment ?

2. Are you using the HTML client ?

3. Are you happy with your client choice ?

4. Are you planning on implementing the other client choice ?

5. Are you running, or do you plan, to use the OneWorld Portal ?

6. Please list the version of OneWorld you are running in your live (production) environment

7. What is the average number of concurrent users that log on each day in your production environment ?

8. How many UBE's do you currently run each day (average) ?

As an addendum, although I realize that the Citrix Client has a lot of
dedicated
advocates, it requires a lot of babysitting; users are often either bumped
off
of it or they cannot connect without an administrator resetting their
session.

Answers for my 2 most recent clients:

1) Yes
2) Yes
3) For the chosen purposes, yes.
4) N/A. Both OW clients implemented at both client sites.
5) No
6) Xe, Update 4, SP20 & SP17.1
7) 120 & 200
8) ~150 (each)

Explanation for #4: HTML client is used for WAN/remote users. Citrix is used primarily for remote development.
