Hyper Exit Security (Exit Bar)

Dear List,

Is there a way to block ‘Exit Bar’ from all menus without going into each program separately?

I tried searching knowledge garden and jdelist with the following: (Exit bar security; Hyper Exit; Row & Form Exit; Secured Row Exit). There is exit security in security workbench and way I found out is to block it from individual programs e.g. P554210. What if the user is assigned many programs? Do I have to go to each one to block exit bar. Is there a simpler way to do this.

Hi,

there is an option in the Hyper Exit Security program, in the Row Colum=
n,
which allow you to secure All Objects. I=B4ve not tested it, but maybe =
will
help you.

I would try using application security.

Figure out what application is being called by the row exit and prevent the users from running that application. Then it does not matter if the row exit is secured.

Peace.

Thank you guys for quick feed back.

Yes I tried *ALL option and that block's every thing. I mean all the tool bars. A user will not be able to use/access icons like add, ok, cancel, delete etc. from the top

The buttons on the top are not considered a tool bar. For those, you will have to use Action Security so a user will not be able to Add, Copy, Delete, etc.

yes, i agree with u.
i use application security ,2 .

but i find sometime ,the security not stable, don't know why.

Hi Arther

I know this is an old post. I wanted to block all the rows exists of an application and today I tried *All options with hyper exit security and it blocks everything including tool bars. Just wondering how did you achive your objective.

Thanks

Ather,

I am assuming that you are utilizing the "All Doors Open" security approach...using customized Menus to restrict user access throughout JDE?

It is very difficult to identify all exits for specific applications: (every place an application is an exit, and each application that is an exit on a specific application) - JDE does not have any sort of "tracing".

Because of this, the Object-based security - the "All Doors Closed" or "Default Deny" approach is the most effective security approach.

Thanks,
Eric
