Job Cost Module

We are trying to bring the Job Cost Module into production and are having some issues with our Chart of Accounts. We have already identified the fact that the Level of Detail on some of our object accounts need to be reviewed (most are presently at LOD 6/7).
Does anyone have any tips/suggestions for revamping our chart. We were contemplated moving everything up one level, but in examining the Job Cost module perhaps moving down to LOD 8 or 9 may be prudent.

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Three of us attended a Job Cost course, but until you try to fit it into your own chart you never ask the right questions.

we use the job cost module, and found that for us it works well to use LOD 8
and 9. If you need more details, let me know.

We capture ALL of our actual costs (for Job Cost) at LOD 9. We budget at LOD 8. Our Cost Code Header is at LOD 7. We use 3 thru 6 for subtotaling. Hope this helps. Please call (after Jan 3) is you want to talk.

Happy Holidays........
