Subject: Item Location File

Hello World,

Does anyone in this world encountered a problem in thier
Item Location file (F41021) which retains values in the
quantity
fields (in our case quantity on PO) even if the PO was
cancelled.
Or in another sense there is a quantity on PO(LIPREQ)
value
in the item location file that we can not match in the
PO file.
I'm just trying to find out if this problem exist in
JDE programs
or this are by the mods made to it.

BTW, I am barely new to JDE and this company and very
willing to learn
and explore this package. Thanks, patrick

RE: Item Location File (fwd)

There is a repost program G43A31 option #2 which cleans up most of these errors. Place this program in sleeper to run weekly. It helped us. Also check your order activity rules to make sure all is correct.

Yes,
I had an open call dealing with this issue and it was never resolved. At
that time I was on 7.3 cum 10, now I am on 7.3 cum 8 and the problem is still
there. I think the problem is in the commitment program. I have not be able
to isolate the problem because usually when I find out about it, several days
have past. I have been zeroing out the buckets and doing re-post by item.
Probably not a good thing, but it is better than over commitments.

If you have a pristine environment tryto re-create it If you get the same result, then it is a JDE problem.
Good Luck.
