XE & Windows 2000

Our users are getting a "Unexpected Response from DLLRegestryServer" error when they login to OneWorld.
Its due to OneWorld wanting to update regestry settings on the client. To get around the problem I have had to give users Power User privileges. This causes security issues and also makes it difficult for a roaming user.

I can live with this I suppose but a bigger problem is I'm getting the same error via a Citrix session. No matter what access I give the user on the Citrix server I can't get rid of the problem. Another concern is, if OneWorld is setting the Registers for a Citrix session what happens with the second user? Do they update the settings, possibly overwriting the first users setting?

Has anyone struck this and how did they get around it?

Thanks

For the clients instead of giving users Admin or Power user privileges you
can also grant the global group 'EVERYONE' FULL access to the JDEdwards Key
and if you're running SQL give them access to the ODBC key. This is easy to
do if you're doing a large roll out or have SMS installed and configured.

As for the Citrix problem try searching the Knowledge Garden. There's a
specific document that deals with the user security issue on Citrix.

Hallo Leroy,

we are going to setup OneWorld Xe with Citrix and W2k. As far as I know
there is a setup option for the Terminal Server installation from where you
can decide whether to use the NT 4.0 security settings or the more rigid W2k
security settings. Which setup did you take? I think your problems result
from those settings, if you choose the W2k settings.
