Hi List,

We recently upgraded to XE and we are seeing very long run times on =
UBE's.
UBE's that would run in seconds now take 2 to 10 times longer.
Looking for any ideas on what may be causing this !!!!!!! Denver is =
stumped !!!!!!!

Thanks in advance
Mike

That time ratio sounds like it is writing a debug log (I am sure this has
been asked). If you watch the job stack (assuming AS/400), then you can
see it in these programs.

AS-400 DB2

Did the upgrade drop any custom indexes? If they weren't in the OL, I think
that the custom indexes aren't recreated.

Did you look at the client access tuning settings? See the tuning guide.

Did you look at database monitor for index builds or sorts or table scans?

Are the times consistently bad? For example, is the GL post always 3 times
or more longer than it was?

Have you looked at the job logs for the QZDASOINIT and the UBE jobs?

I assume that your tuning hasn't changed is okay.

You might want to take a look at your indexes... what reports are they ?
You should ask JDE if they have changed their indexes, or you can go to
report design to figure out what they are ...
You could also try to rebuild your indexes through OW.

I hope the above will help

Cheers
