Hi,

I posted a "Client package build fails" a few days ago (and unfortunately, no replies); well, we've re-installed the VC6 SP3, and did not fix it.
Now, within OMW, I added one of the NER business functions (with build error 'invalid type') to the Default project, I want to check it out and :( NO BUTTONS at all on the vertical toolbar! Can anybody help?

Thank you,
Adrian

Hi Adrian,
Add the user to the (default) project with a user role, which has Check Out rights in the given status (21 - Programing), e.g. as Developer or Supervisor.

Hi and thank you very much to All being so nice to reply!
I added the developer role to the owner list and OK! The buttons are there.
Now I'm trying to checkout the business functions that errored the Client Package Build. No luck.
I get the "Object ID Unknown" error. CNC told me she did not install the development objects (imagine there's not enough room on the HDD!) and that could be a valid point. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks again,
Adrian

Hi, Adrian,

You've got to be a developer for your Default project (no, you are not by
default, don't ask me why). Find your user in search and add it (you do have
one arrow looking left on the toolbar, do you?). Use role 02? (Developer).
After that you'll have design buttons. BWT, to release token, you'll need
another role (don't remember which)

Thank you Vladimir,
Two days ago, with a LOT of help from Denver (incredible fast and useful this week) + our friends (you know them, they are enthusiasts, members, journeypeople, newbies and strangers, too) I did it! Good hint with the other role; is it not marching with the whole Project, when I take it to the next step?
