Hi JDElist users,

I am trying to figure out how to use JDE workflow to automate the process of
creating the Purchase order from Sales order generation.

I know, workflow can be used to check/Validate and pass alert
Message/Authorization check, also halt process on some defined parameter,
However i want to trigger a automatic PO from SO through Workflow.

Could there be anyone who can help me doing this.

Thanks and Regards,

Ravi shankar

Why not use standard functionality that is already available in JDE instead
of using workflow? You can run PO Generator and
it can create matching POs for open sales orders. Check the processing
options of PO Generator to see how to do this. While not totally automatic,
its pretty close.

Why not use the existing direct ship line type in the sales order? It
creates the PO and cross references the two orders.
