Just so you know, I can setup WAS61 and IHS but when I try a clean install of WAS61 and IIS it fails at the instance creation in server manager.
I want to setup WAS61 with IIS but when I try to create the instance it fails and tries to back out the instance.
The error:
Unable to remove the instance 'EAP_ESRV34_95' from the targets.xml repository; the instance was not installed properly and may cause undesired results.:Unable to install the instance'EAP_ESRV34_95' ; an exception was thrown during the installation procedure.:Exception invoking method install:Exception invoking method configureHttpPort:null
Machine:
JAS=Windows 2003 Server Std Edition
EnterpriseServer=AS/400
What I did:
Made sure IIS is installed and working - default website works
Install WebSphere 6.1 ND
Install WAS Plugins for IIS6
Installed UpdateInstaller
Installed Fixpack WAS 09
Installed Fixpack JDK 09
Installed Fixpack PLG 09
Installed Management Agent and started service
The following performed from Server manager:
Registered WAS61 with path-c:\WebSphere61\AppServer
Created J2EE under WAS61 and installed drivers (SQL & JT400)
Create HTML server port 95 & select E1 HTML Server Version 8.97.1.1
---- After 3 minutes I get the error message ------
Any and all help with this issue is greatly appreciated as we do not have JDE/Oracle support.
