E9.1 Web Exception When Deleting Item Branch Record

I've been going through a cleanup of our item branch records and find I have a consistent problem deleting from a specific branch. This branch is a virtual branch used strictly for revenue (for Canadian sales) - no physical inventory exists. Each time, I try, it gets "stuck" for several minutes and then I get a web error exception. It seems to be a more recent issue as I've been able to do it before. Is there anything in the setup that could potentially be causing this?

If there's an Item Branch record, do you have a default Item Branch Location record ("P" value in PBIN field)? Some JDE processing assumes you have a default primary location set up for items when performing certain transactions.
 
This is a bug in the application / business function. You may be able to resolve with configuration but ultimately this is a bug some place that should be fixed. Almost certainly this corresponds with a zombie process on the server.
