E9.2 Warning on Substitutions?

When an order comes in for something that is out of stock, we are using the cross-reference substitutions to provide direction on replacement items. However, sometimes replacing one item in the order necessitates replacing others.

Is there a way to pop up a warning or something to alert the user that replacing item x requires them to also replace item y, even though they might have inventory of item y available?

Hi jde1user, I don't think that you are going to find anything specifically to address this. Perhaps with CafeOne you could explore setting up a link to another application that could provide additional information to the user to help them with this process. e.g. Set up a different Cross Reference Type that provides this additional relationship, or Set up Supplemental data that provides this additional relationship info and then link via CafeOne to either of these apps from the Substitution screen?
