Vertex Quantum for Payroll Tax configuration question

Hi,

Bigtime newbie to JDE here. This forum is great.

We're looking to configure Vertex Quantum for Payroll Tax on our Enterprise server. We've got it installed and have loaded the data files onto the system from the CD and are at the point of configuring the Oracle database. The documentation is not specific. Should we be putting the new tables related to this in the production JDE database, or is it supposed to have it's own database?

Thanks in advance,

Phil

There is a procedure on how to configure Vertex Quantum Tax on the XE Upgrade Guide manual (chapter 12). It's the best documentation that I've found when installing Vertex.

I hope this helps,

The strange formating is a temporary unwanted behaviour that we are working on as I'm writing thoses line.

For Vertex on Oracle you can simple create new table spaces: Vertex_PD,
Vertex_PY, Vertex_DV

We seperate by environment so we can test the new vertex data in parallel.
For th passwords for the Oracle table spaces you can use the 'jde' id and
password or add new datasources to system security fdr all users.

BTW Vertex was a very hot topic at FOCUS 2002's Q&A with the Executive. Lots
of po'ed World and OneWorld customers..........just adding my name to the
list.
