Unable to create lower level requirements for interfaced MPS records

When JDE MPS job P3483 is run, it usually creates F3411 MPS records and F3412 Lower level requirements.

However, when F3411 records are created by interfacing suggested work orders from an external system, what is the best method to create F3412 lower level messages to ensure a JDE MRP P3483 job can generate suggested purchase orders based on the interfaced work order plan?

just to get this clear:
suggested orders data generated in external system which you are then pushing into the F3411. multi-facility MRP is then run, but you aren't getting lower level requirements generated in pegging file and not getting subsequent PO messages for materials.
what is generation type processing option for the MRP run ?

Yes Mick, that's it. The generation type is 4 - MRP with or without MPS, we have also tried 5. The issue is, the F3412 is not populated up stream in the MPS. If we run MPS with generation type 1, it regens the interfaced MPS. We need to leave the MPS messages while generating the F3412 lower level requirements as they are not interfaced.

My thoughts on what setup may do this: items with externally generated order suggestions are Planning Code = 1. Create F3411 records for these items. All components in the BoM are Planning Code = 2.
then submit R3483, gen type 5 frozen MPS, with data selection of Planning Code = 1 and 2.
does this match your setup ?
