Training on CASE tool

We have a developer who would like very much to take the training course
"CASE - The Program Generator A7.3 / A8.1". Unfortunately it is not
currently being offered at any North American training centre. We've been
advised to call Training Central at 1-888-533-8724 and ask for this class to
be added to the schedule.

I wonder if there are others out there who would also like to take this
course who would like to make this call as well. I'm thinking strength in
numbers.

Also, has anyone taken this course and are you willing to comment on whether
it's worth the money? Our main objectives are to create programs including
Dream Writers that look, smell, feel and act like JDE originals, and
increase our productivity.

We have been asking for the CASE training for awhile in the
Northeast(Teaneck, NJ) and we have called JDE to express our interest. I
could commit at least 1 and maybe 2 resources to a class. You can e-mail me

Frankly speaking. JDE world Case tool is not very difficult. Infact its very simple. What it does is that you can create skeleton programs with it based on certain defined rules. Best thing it does is with the subfile. you create a subfile screen and use CASE your program is ready. All the validation and if conditions you can put it in yourself.

It does not do any kind of conditional checking. It only assigns functions keys and you can assign variable values amongst data base fields.

Again its not difficult at all. The only difficult thing to figure out the size of the qrpgsrc so JDE can generate source. Its late now I dont have my resource book with me otherwise I would have told you which file to use as template and make it source pf so JDE can generate source.
