Support(?) Line!

I used to respond to the customer surveys. They stopped sending them to me. Guess they did not like my responces.

I agree about the "can't duplicate the problem" comment. It is almost as if
JDE is saying. If it happened to you, and not us, there is most certainly
something that you are doing to cause it, so we won't take the time to look
at the code and even determine if your situation is possible! I have thrown
up my arms many times in frustration after I was told that my call was being
closed because the problem can't be duplicated!

Who voted you moderator? And who's "wasting time and filling up our emails"
now? How hard is it for you to hit the delete key or if it really bothers
you - unsubscribe?

I agree about the "moderator" comment. How many times have we beat other
issues to death? This one is no different. It was made to look worse than
it really was because of the problem with the list server that caused some
messages to show up 2 or 3 times. I think people have their right to voice
their opinion on any JDE topics. Besides, sometimes criticism brings about
change, even though in this case the chances are slim. Perhaps some people
found a better way to handle this than others, so sharing opinions is not
doing any harm here.

Maybe we can separate out these "opinion" messages into another list, so we
can choose whether to receive them or not. The existing World List could
then concentrate on JDE World issues.

Eric - would this be possible?

Regards
Nanda

>

I agree that there is a need for both exchanges of information between JDE
customers and also "opinions" concerning JDE software and support.

A separate list for "opinions" is an idea although there may be times when
it is hard to choose whether a comment is informational versus opinionated.

As long as we don't coin a new opinion list the "whine list" (my sorry
attempt at humour!!).

This topic will die down soon enough.
I disagree with the need to set up a new "List".
The WHOLE list is Opinions.
My Opinion about Your Problem. Etc etc.

I just want to say that I am glad that everyone is voicing their opinion here because just yesterday I told my JDE account rep about this site and she is going to be monitoring it. Thanks and keep up the good work.

RE:

I'd suggest you check out the Knowledge Garden's Breaking News section.
There are several issues related to incorrect records in the F0902 and
several other subsystem files, with instructions on how to find and fix
them. Specifically, the one I am thinking about is dated 2/11/00 -
Incorrect Records in Payroll, Job Cost, Purchasing and Fixed Assets, doc ID
# WFN-00-0009.

Since you have no programmer, I assume you have few mods, if any. Any
chance you can upgrade to cume 12? You will still need to clean up your
data, but you may be able to avoid other Y2k problems this way. (Yes, they
are still occurring!)

It has been my experience, that they are pretty good about calling back fairly quickly. You cant tell them to put a rush order on it. I dont know, maybe I have just been lucky.

You need to be honest. If it is really important ask for a rush. And they will take care of you. But not everything is a rush. If you abuse it, I'm sure your account will be flagged.

I always try to indicate the priority and when it has been really important I get the best help and you can tell they try. When its a low PTY I do not expect a quick call. This is
they way it should be to be fair for everyone..
