E9.2 Subcontracting in JDE


We are trying to automate a certain process in JDE, if anyone can help

We buy profiles/bars as raw materials and maintain them in stock for projects; upon request we send those to a subcontractor for painting/coating. what is the best solution to withdraw the items from existing inventory and then re-add them to the stock of a specific project after coloring; how to automate the supplier invoice/payment and incure the coating cost on these items that will be used later in project Work orders? The items (the intial plain one and the subcontracted colored one) should be handled as one item or as separate items?
