Stock Valuation - INVENTORY

Does anyone know if it is possible to run a retrospective Stock Valuation.
One of our subs ran a stock valuation at the end of 2002 (311202) and the reports we have are the Cycle Count Report and the Inventory Valuation Analysis Report (R41590).
We would like to run a Item Ledger Report which would rec to these two reports but since then on hand quantities would have changed!!
Is there any possible way to do this ie As Of Functionality?? for the Item Ledger that would give me this information?

Running the R41542 ASOF processing might give you a starting point. You need to be sure no data is purged from the F4111 cardex and you have to run it year by year and then run another program to do the year over transactions.
On the Knowledge Garden is a document that explains it. The inventory is valued in the cost method that is stated at item master or item branch.

Jan,

many Thanks for that information...will attempt this and look at the KG document.
I dont suppose you know the name of the file that contains detail shown on both the 'Detailed' and Summarized ' availability screens under inventory enquries? Im looking to see where the On Hand quantities are held

Many Thanks

Ian

The F41021 Item Location file shows inventory as is. The quantity shown as available is dependent on your setup. The F41021 is the basis for the detailed and summarized availibility.

The as af situation is written to the F41112 Item ASOF file.

Hope this helps.
