SQL 2000 Service Pack 1

Due to a SQL 2000 bug, we are being forced to apply SP 1 for the database. Essentially, we are unable to perform a full backup on the database using Veritas BackupExec due to the fact that all Recovery Models are defaulting to "Simple" and cannot be changed.

Anyhow, JDE has not yet certified SP 1 for SQL 2000. Has anyone applied this fix, and if so, can you share any thoughts about it?

Best regards.

I am using BackupExec and SQL2000 on Win2000 with no problem.

However I did come across something that sounds a bit like your problem. When I initially tried to changed the recovery mode of a database from Simple to Full, the OK button stayed grey and would not change it.

I resolved this by changing the log file to allow unlimited expansion, then all was OK.

Anyway, I have not applied SQL2000 SP1!

FYI

The SQL 2000 SP1 install went without issue. The recovery mode can now be
altered while still keeping the DB size restricted.
