Service Pack 16.0???

Has anyone out there been bold enough to try SP 16.0 yet? Anyone planning to
go to SP 16.0 in the near future or are you waiting fo SP 16.1? Are you
planning on seperating your Foundation (Service Pack Level) out first?

Personally, the fact that this thing already has 4 one-off's is pretty
scary. However, the ability to do inclusive rather than exclusive select
statements is a major performance and administrative bonus.

Just one more thing..does anyone know if the ability of users to change
their passwords is fixed in SP 16.0 (it broke in SP 15.1).

Thanks

Colin,

Can you give more details of the 15.1 password problem. I've just tested it
here & it seems to work fine.

I know it's hard to believe that password changing could be a problem but
look at SAR's 5264494 and 5298344. This is fixed in SP15.1_013 and SP16.1.

Now back to my other question....what about SP 16.X? Anyone thinking about
it or done it yet?

Colin

Colin,

I'm installing SP16 next week. We are not in production nor even in the
testing phase yet--otherwise NO WAY would I put it on now. But, I want to
be on the most current release when we begin testing...

Hi Colin,

We are planning on putting SP16.0 on next week on our DEV environment only.

Colin,

Well, we were planning to start installing 15.1, but since 16 came out we
have decided to be bold(or crazy)and install 16 instead. We have a sandbox
enterprise server now which is same setup as our live system for CRP and
DEV. So we will try the install there and see what comes up, but we are
planning for a lengthy testing phase before rolling it to production
servers. The plan is to use the multiple foundations setup - should prove
to be a fun adventure. We will post any big issues we find. Not sure
exactly when we will start the install and testing but should be next week
sometime.
