Service Pack 11.2

Hi everyone:

I'm planning to install service pack 11.2 (B7331, NT Server, SQL 7.0). This
wil be the first time that I will be involved in such operation. My
questions are: 1 - How will I know that the service pack installation was
succesfull? 2 - What are the typical problems during service pack
installations? 3 - Can I go back if anything goes wrong?

Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks.

Miguel :

I suggest you to install SP11.3; SP11.2 has many bugs related to security on
menus.
1. Installation is quite straightforward, you either install it well or not.
Be aware to read carefully installation docs before installing,
for example SP 11.x need some changes on Enterprise JDE.INI, MDAC and SP
pre-requisites, etc.
2. Typical : C++ errors, I had to reinstall C++ on the Deployment after SP
installation. Be aware to build a Full package for
server and clients after installing SP and deploy it. Don't erase previous
full packages. Backup \System, \SystemComp, and
\OneWorld Client Install folders on Deployment and \System folders on
Enterprise before installing SP.
3. You can.

Yours, Sebastian

Suerte y que Dios te ayude.
