We've started with the service billing module and our consultant has informed us that how it works is that the work order records inventory and cost of sales as soon as the part is shipped but the revenue won't be recorded until the order is complete. This makes no sense the costs must match the revenue at the same time. In our case we have parts shipped directly to customers from our vendors and may sit there until the service can be performed. We don't want to recognize any costs or revenue until the service is completed. How can this be done? Can we have the work order AAI work so that it just moves the parts to another temporary warehouse?
