Server build / cross platforms

We currently build server packages to two iseries 400's. Recently, we installed a Wintel server to support our new Stellant (formerly Optika) application.

Now we build server packages on two 400’s and one Wintel machine. The server build is perfect on both OS/400 and Wintel. The problem is that a couple of UBE’s are no longer working on the 400. All that changed is the new Windows server. Oracle is thinking that building packages cross platforms “will” cause spec corruption and that we should build two separate server packages, one for OS/400 and one Windows.

I guess my question is, has anybody experienced spec corruption building packages cross platforms. More importantly, are any of you using Optika and 400 and building server packages to both the 400 and Windows in the same package.

Thanks in advance, would appreciate your comments.
