Security Server Problem for First Signon

Hi List,

AS400 V4R4 - OW B7332 SP 11.3

Everytime we stop JDENET (Clear IPC as well) and restart it, the first user
who try to signon to OW will get a msg "Waiting for Security Server" and
eventually OW will failed to log on because of timeout. Then after 1 or 2
tries he will successful log on to OW. Does anyone has the same problem that
can give us some hints. Thanks in advance.

Phil

This shouldn't be happening but since it is here is
something that may help:

Set the Security Kernel to automatically start by
modifying this section of the Server ini-

[JDENET_KERNEL_DEF4]
krnlName=SECURITY KERNEL
dispatchDLLName=JDEKRNL
dispatchDLLFunction=JDEK_DispatchSecurity
maxNumberOfProcesses=1
numberOfAutoStartProcesses=1

Phil,

I have had the same problem at one of my clients. Same config as yours, I
am guessing that this problem is with Win2000 workstations. If so, change
the following line in the [JDENET] section of the Client INI:

netTrace=0 ---> netTrace=1

This took care of it for me.

Good luck,

Andy
