Dear List
Help, I've gone blank!! How can you secure users out of Hidden Selections -
eg 27/29, and also grant this to users too. I know they reside on
ZHIDDEN002, but I'm stuck there.

Thanks in advance for any pointers.
Charlotte

You should be able to control this with the menu locks for the ZHIDDEN
menus. See the Menu Lock program on the Security Menu (G94).

Inquire on a ZHIDDEN menu name and look at the upper right hand corner and you'll see something like...

A J K DP F
Lock ._ _ _ __ _

..which give you menu masking options.

Look directly below and you'll see specfic menu option masking
capability.

If you access the program help while in the Menu Lock program, there is a section on masking which may help if you are not familiar with JDE security.

Hope this helps. I've never used it on the ZHIDDEN menus but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Good Luck

YOU CAN PUT A LEVEL ON THE MENU LOCK AND MENU DISPLAY AND THEN GIVE THE USER
YOU WANT TO HAVE IT PUT THIS LEVEL ON THEIR USER INFORMATION.

Many thanks for all of you who have taken time to reply to my post. It's
great to know there's help out there - especially when I have a mental
block!!

I've resolved the problem, and all is working well.

Thanks again
Charlotte
