I will add the caveat that I am not an Optio expert prior to my reply, but I
did investigate the same issue and found JDE B733.1 incapable of
distributing PDF documents upon their completion. If you trigger Optio into
action, however, it is capable of grabbing an Optio address off of the PDF
generated by JDE and then distributing it out. What I did to set that up
was to generate documents with page breaks on individual user ID's with
their corresponding e-mail address, and then when Optio is triggered it was
set to grab that field and generate an e-mail of that page to the
individual. This took the Optio person in the office a while, since there
is not substantial documentation of achieving this, and only the latest
release of Optio allows generation of a PDF (as opposed to RTF) document.
We have not yet found a way to trigger the Optio to run after completion of
the UBE, but I expect there is a way to do so. In the meantime that is
triggered manually.
