Saving ER hangs in Standalone

Okay, I know that developing on Standalone is not officially supported, but we have a few PCs with standalone versions that range from XE to 8.11. On some of the PCs, when creating event rule code and then trying to save, sometimes it takes 10-15 minutes to save the specs and some manchines it does it in no time at all. On the ones where it hangs the RDA.exe or FDA.exe usually hangs around 99% CPU the entire time it's trying to save. Has anyone seen this? I've tried disabling any anti-virus software, but no luck. All are XP machines. Thanks.

For Windows XP, turn off the System Restore functionality. Then login into StandAlone and try again.

To turn off System Restore, right-click on My Computer and choose Properties. Go to the System Restore tab, and check the box that says to turn it off.

That should handle it. Let us know if that didn't work.

I've tried that already, but to no avail. If there's any other ideas out there let me know.
