some item quantities are splited into 2 lines i.e. the sales people capture
75 pieces of article A, 65 pieces of item B and 80 pieces of item C, but
there are 4 lines instead of 3:

Line Number Item Code Item Dscription Quantity
1 A Green pen
75
2 B Black pen
60
2.1 B Black pen
5 <------>Where did this 2.1 line come
3 C Orange pen
80 from???

Thank's

Check for changes in lot and/or location(bin) numbers for the selected
items.

Thanks.

Are the two line from separate locations? Are you performing commitment
processing with sales order entry?

It may related to quantity on hand at one location. If one location's qua=
ntity on hand can not fill the order, the program will split the order an=
d move to the next location (of the branch plant and the same item) to fi=
ll the remaining order.

Its possible you have a processing option to hard commit turned on in order
entry. Most clients do a soft commit against the primary location in order
entry and wait to do the hard commit when they print a pick slip.

One of the main differences between a soft and hard commit is that for a
soft commit the system goes out and commits against the primary location,
even if it drives the availability in that location negative. When the pick
slip prints, the soft commit is backed out and a hard commit is done. At
this point the commitment program finds available stock and splits the order
line into multiple lines if it has to go to multiple locations to fulfill
the order quantity.

Check that you do not have the hard commit in order entry processing option
turned on.
