row exit print and Citrix

Hey all,

Has anyone been able to hit the row exit print button from Work With Submitted Jobs and been able to print, off of the citrix terminal server clients? I have a case where this will come in real handy except, it only works off fat clients, and not thin clients.

TIA

Should work, assuming this is a Server Job, it should print from the ES

OW733.3 Xe SP 14.2
Enterprise Server - Intel NT + Oracle 8.0.6
Client - Citrix TSE + 4 NT PC's for development

I’m assuming the jobs in question are run on the server and that the printer is a network printer not a Local one?
If Using “Print” from the exit bar on a fat client works doing the same thing from a Citrix session should not be a problem. If all you are doing is Highlighting the job and selecting “Print” the communication to the printer takes place on the AS400 not the Client. (Fat or Thin)

I just tested one of my clients system as follows:

From a fat client I went to WSJ.
Selected my Enterprise server.
Highlighted an existing Job.
Selected Print.
Noted the printer.
Then printed it.

From Citrix I went to WSJ.
Selected my Enterprise Server.
Highlighted the same Job.
Selected Pint.
Verified it was the same printer as above.
Then printed it.

If you still have a problem check the JDE.Log file for your Citrix session and let me know.

Re: RE: row exit print and Citrix

Carol,

Unfortunatley it doesn't work. I am able to highlight the row from the WSJ & JDE ES, and hit print, and it prints out the document. I go to the thin client and choosing the same job hit the row exit print and nothing happens.

Since it is the same job the printers are the same, and the job is run off the ES.

I will look for the citrix log to see if that says anything.

Check you OCM, if you are using the WPD7333 environment. There are a number
of BSFN used by WSJ which need to be mapped locally.
