RES: SP 14.2 aftermath XE

I have received a copy of that document from RL Denver. The name is
multiplefoundations-unix.pdf (size 463K)in case of Unix. Sorry, can't attach
it for the LIST. There is no really big news in that. It's kind of the same
as running two OW releases on one machine when you do an upgrade. You need
to configure different IP ports, IPC start values and all that.
Nevertheless, I agree with Kimberley, a good idea.
Look for it on KG. You might find it under the above name.

Thanks, Gerd

Hi John,

Not that this will help you with this SP issue, but at a training session
last week in Denver, JDE announced that they are moving to multi-foundation
Service Packs. Apparently, it is currently available, but not documented or
communicated. This will allow us to install an SP to a non-Production
environment for testing first - Yeah! Not that it's difficult to back off
an SP, but there is a reduced impact on Production users if we can test it
first.
