We have the same problem when we try to accept an order after changes (in sales
order) or try to confirm a shipment.

Hi List,

I am having a problem when I try to enter any kind of
transactions in the system (Sales order, purchase
order, journal entry, ...). It only happens when I am
using some workstations. We are in B7332 SP .

The error that displays is "Threaded business function
caused Heap Corruption F4311EndDoc[Invalid Overwrite
or Read]". (In case of the P.O.)

I would really appreciate some help.
Thanks in advance.

My experience has been that a redeployment to the affected workstations will
fix the problem.

Re: RE: Threaded Business Function

We were seeing this error sometimes during standard voucher entry. Our problems went away when we added the following to our JDE.INI files.

[DB CACHE INFORMATION]
Library Cache=20

B733.2 SP11.3 HP9000 Oracle 8.1.6

RE: Threaded Business Function

Is anyone using any third party credit and collections software that is
linked to JDE. If so what are the pro's & con's? What are the costs for
products. what are the implementation times ie how many weeks to link up.
Also any added bells and whistles ie: predictive dialer etc.

RE: Threaded Business Function

We use software called GetPaid. Our Credit bunch just loves this
software. From a technical standpoint, it is less than desirable - but...
that is my problem.

Basically, the "link" to JDE involves a download each night of all Customers
Name and Address and Balances, then another file with all invoices.
Sounds simple. Most interfaces do sound simple. They even seem simple at
first. But in the end, it takes months of trial and error to get to a
"seamless interface" and then the seams consist of rusty staples, they leak,
and they require re-stapling, Bondo, duct tape, etc. on a regular basis.

I would like to just use JDE, but the credit people say they can't do as
much with it. My only option at this point is to pry it from their cold,
dead hands and I am not into that at the moment - waiting for rigor. Send
me an email and I can put you in touch with the Credit bunch if you want to
hear specifics.

RE: Threaded Business Function

For those of you still getting:

[Invalid Overwrite or Read] The system may become unstable. Please debug the
Application using the Event Rule Debugger.

The latest is SP14 will fix this, according to the breaking news on the
knowledge Garden.
I was wondering if anyone has upgraded to SP14 due to this problem and
whether it fixed it.

We are on SP11.3 (B7331) an still get it.

Cheers,

Mark.
