RE: Threaded Business Function

David:
We have been having the same problems for several months. We have had our
users report these errors and have been keeping a log to track these errors
along with the Invalid Read Overwrite. At first we thought that these
errors were tied to workstations as well but after sending out a company
wide e-mail we have found that everyone is receiving these errors. We are
getting at least 5-10 errors a day with the users losing 5-20 min worth of
work each time. So far there is no fix for these. The new Pre-Req ESU
supposedly has a fix for the journal entries but not the Sales Order or
Purchase Order. We did not receive these errors before the first Pre-Req
ESU. We have been in contact with our client manager and the help desk
regarding this issue and so far we have had no luck getting these issues
resolved. Good Luck and if you get any response from JDE regarding an ESU
that will actually fix this problem please let me know.

Thank You

Jim,

First of all thank you for your answer, and I would
like to ask you for a little more information. Could
you tell me the release of Oneworld, the operation
system, the database and the server that you are
using?. It would be very helpful for us, in order to
detect if we are really facing the same problem.

Just a last thing, are you having these problem
permanently or sometimes the systems allows you to
register the journal entry?

Thanks in advance

David:
We are on OW 7332, SP, We are running a terminal server with 7 citrix
application servers, We are using Unix on an HP 9000. Our database is Oracle
v8.0.

We are receiving the errors permanently sometimes. What I mean is sometimes
orders and journal entries go through and other times they don't. When our
Accounting dept. is doing journal entries some will disappear completely
when they receive the error and every once in a while part of the journal
entry will still be there if they log out and log back in so they only have
to re-enter part of the entry. Other times their entries go through without
any problems. I am attatching a sample of our error log so you can see the
types of errors and the modules associated with them. If you do not receive
the attachments let me know and I will send them directly to you. Also note
that the log is also kept by several users and the errors are somtimes the
same but entered with different names. Hope this helps you out. If I can
assist in any other way let me know.

For what its worth we also were experiencing a large number of threaded BF errors (especially in purchasing)- until we installed SP 11.3. We specifically installed this SP to eliminate this problem - as advised by our contacts in JDE. Since the installation of this Service pack 99% of these errors have gone away.
