Re: Spec Merge problems Upgrading to Xe

Hi Andre,

I'm not sure what stage of the upgrade you are in right now but I got the
same errors when installing Xe from scratch. The issue was actually when
installing Update1 and it turns out that the error was not really a memory
issue but a licensing issue. A collegue of mine got that fromJDE
themselves.

Because Xe is shipped at SP level 13 you have to apply B733SP13_OMW One-Off
as well as the pre-req's before you can apply Update1. The issue is that
Update1 may have fixes for modules that you are not licensed for. The
system reads this as an error and stops. The One-off fixes this issue.

We installed in this order:

Xe (@ SP13)
Update1 Pre-reqs (Sar's: 4894806, 4901324 and 5023172)
B733SP13_OMW One-off
Update1
SP15.1

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Gerald.

Greetings
Can anybody help:

We are upgrading from B7322 to Xe with Update 1 and Service Pack 15.1

When merging custom Business views during the upgrade using R98700 (spec
merge) we are getting a memory violation, without any meaningful error
messages .

The message we get is "EventRule: Business Function AddCumObject at line 24
for Event 13 in Section Merge Specs has caused memory violation"

Running Intel box, NT4 sp 6a, SQL 7 SP 2 and MDAC 2.6

Thanks for any help on this one

RE: Spec Merge problems Upgrading to Xe

we also cam across this error, and it turned out that the table
conversion process prior to that didnt 'slime' the contents of the
f98761 table. check your row counts on your CRPTEMP environment and
compare to the table conversion logs. As far as i recall you can rerun
the particular TC to complete the process without having to restore.
