Hi!

Did you create Windows ODBC entries on the Enterprise Server?

We have installed the OneWorld Xe on NT Platform and SQL Server Database, we
are able
to login from Depolyment Server into Oneworld for any enviornment and
applications are also
running fine.. But after Workbench we did the porttest for the environments,
and it is getting
failed for all the environment, Can somebody help out how to resolve this
issue ???

Thanks

Hi , check this path and directory Enterprise =
server\B733\HOSTS\INTELNT\
folder by Enterprise server name\evaluate Enterprise .INI file

Check yoyr FTP server root login.

Check your host list, verify OCM mappings

Send your log files.

Send your port test snap shot to get the correct fill of error.

Also if you are using security you need to do the porttest after you start
services. If you aren't security you need to do the porttest before you
bring up services. Also might want to make sure you have all the proper
upper/lowercase situations covered as far as environment name/user/pass etc.

RE: Porttest failed after XE installation

Under Nt/SQL7 I am not able to run a porttest while services are running.
The only way I can run the porttest is to remove the security server from
the jde.ini and make sure I am using a username that is in the DB. I can do
this under B7332, but Xe seems to be different.

RE: Porttest failed after XE installation

Hi Sebastian,

You are right on top of things. I hope you had a good trip home.

Shyam,

We just returned from upgrade class and the problem we ran into with
Porttest was the ODBC drivers. We found our errors by turning on logging
and the jde.log actually told us what we needed to know. If the ODBC
drivers are set up correctly, turn on logging and this may give you more
troubleshooting ideas.

The other thing you need to check is your services running on the server.
If you are running going to be running services for two different versions
(i.e. B733.1 and B733.3) you need to follow the directions on page 8-8 and
8-9 of the upgrade manual. You have to make changes in your JDE.INI file
and make sure you Create GUID. If you don't go through this procedure the
only way to run the Enterprise server is one version at a time. You would
have to stop all services of the old version and start the services for the
new one. This really isn't an option if you are running live in
Production.

If you have any other questions about what I'm saying here please feel free
to contact me.

Thanks and have a great day,
