We just installed SP23_G1 in our DV7333 last week. Our situation is very
similar to yours. We have SP21_Q1 update 3 currently, we have 3 AS/400 ES,
the security server is on the primary one, which holds PD7333. To ease the
SP23_G1 installation, we also applied ESU JD21799 all the way to PD7333
before starting SP23_G1 installation.
We also setup the Multiple Foundation to install SP23_G1, we setup the
security server in the ES where our DV7333 resides. What we did is:
1)Copy all three libraries SYS7333, OL7333, DD7333 from the primary ES to
the ES where DV7333 resides, and rename these libraries to SYS733SP23,
OL733SP23, DD733SP23.
2) On the ES where DV7333 resides, add four new Data source to point to
these new libraries. The new data sources are:
System - SP23_G1 which similar to System - B7333, it points to
library SYS733SP23.
System - SP23_G1 - DNT which similar to System - B7333 - DNT, it
points to library SYS733SP23.
Object Librarian - SP23_G1 which similar to Object Librarian - B7333,
it points to library OL733SP23.
Data Dictionary - SP23_G1 which similar to Data Dictionary - B7333.
it points to library DD733SP23.
3) On the ES where DV7333 resides, change the OCM mapping for
SVM7333/F986101 and SYS733SP23/F986101 (make a copy before change), so for
every record with environment = DV7333 and is active, if it previously
point to data source System - B7333, now is changed to point to data source
System - SP23_G1; if it previously point to data source System - B7333 -
DNT, now is changed to point to data source System - SP23_G1 - DNT; if it
previously point to data source Object Librarian - B7333, now is changed to
point to data source Object Librarian - SP23_G1; if it previously point to
data source Data Dictionary - B7333, now is changed to point to data source

4) For the JDE.INI on the ES where DV7333 resides, besides the changes
suggested in the PSFT document, in the [Security] section, change the
security server to the name of the ES where DV7333 resides, then change the
data source from System - B7333 to System - SP23_G1.
5) For the fat clients that decided to test SP23_G1, save the JDE.INI, then
change the JDE.INI, set port number from 6009 to 6109. Also, on these fat
clients, add four new ODBC which is similar to step 2).
We plan to move in PY7333 into SP23_G1(it resides on the same ES where
DV7333 resides) , finish testing, then install SP23_G1 directly to QAE7333
(which use another ES) and PD7333(which resides on our primoary ES), then
remove Multiple-Foundation setup.

Dear All,
Our OW XE backgound are:
1. We currently running SP21_B1 XE Update 6 in production.
2. I already had JD21799 installed to all of all envir from DV to PD.
3. We have 2 ES, the primary running PD7333, and PY7333 UBE, and the
secondary running PY and DV. Our security is on the primary ES, as well as
the OL7333, SYS7333, DD7333 resides only on our primary ES.
4. Due to our configuration, every time I apply SP using MF, I would apply
the new test SP on PY, then when everything OK, I would move to all the
envir from DV to PD.
It seemed to work well.
I like to applied SP23 using MF.
I have read the SP23 installation instructions. Nevertheless, the infor are
not too much help for my situation. I am hoping there are some of you out
there that have similar and/or gone thru a SP23 MF/JD21799 that could help
me out.
Please help in assisting of
- what I need to do for OCM mappings of F98OWSEC :
- how should ! I map OCM during the SP MF
- how should my client/server ini be
