RE: EURO CONVERSION Dates
I've just been on the Euro Conversion training course.
There is no reason why conversion MUST happen at Month, Quarter OR Year End.
The suite of programs go thru file by file and convert data on a record by
record basis.
Of concern is that no detailed information regarding how long E9 takes is
really available, since every data set is unique, and processors vary.
JDE will NOT support any attempt at conversion WITHOUT the conversion having
been previously attempted in a test environment.
If your F0911 is very big, the process may take a while. Also bear in mind
that there are a number of pre-conversion tasks that should/must be
performed PRIOR to conversion, as well as some manula post-conversion tasks
- one of which is a GL Repost.
JDE expressed some concern over the lack of interest generally in Euro
conversion. Ifd you leave this too late, attempting to get some support will
be difficult because it appears that a large number of clients are leaving
this to the last minute.
